On Saturday May 25, as Tower Ladder 82 was clearing an Alarm System call at Highland H.S., they were dispatched to Lindenwold for an apartment fire. Upon arriving, they were joined by Chief Millisky and assigned as the RIC (Rapid Intervention Crew). The purpose of the RIC is to stand by with the needed manpower and equipment to quickly jump into action should a firefighter need to be rescued. The fire was soon upgraded to a Second Alarm for additoinal manpower, and was placed under control after about an hour. The crew was eventually reassigned to assisting with ventilating neighboring apartments before being released.
