Busy Weekend for Chews Landing

On the evening of Sunday July 19, 8201(Millisky), 8202(Scott), TL82, E82, E88, and Utility 827 with a total staffing of 17, responded to Glendora for a Dwelling fire. 8202 arrived on location with smoke showing from two sides, determined all occupants were accounted for, and established Command until relieved by 8101(Ricciardelli). Crews from Blenheim, Magnolia, Glendora, Runnemede, and Chews Landing arrived in quick succession and went to work, bringing the fire under control within 20 minutes. Units from Somerdale and Bellmawr also responded.

TL82 assisted with ventilation and overhaul, E82 and U827 with salvage and manpower, and E88 stood by to provide a secondary water supply. One Glendora FF was transported to the hospital with a minor injury and released.

This was just one of 5 reported fires the department responded to this weekend, in addition to a number of other calls. Great job by all!
