On June 21st at 10:30 am, members of Gloucester Township Haz-Mat 8, Gloucester Township Office of Emergency Management, and the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to the Gloucester Township Public Works Building on Erial Road for the report of an exterior propane leak. Upon arrival, Haz-Mat 8 Technicians found a leaking 100 pound propane tank in the rear of the property. With assistance from Cherry Hill Fire Department Haz-Mat Technicians, the leak was stopped by tightening the valve. While companies were operating at the incident, two additional calls for service in the township were handled by the Pine Hill, Blackwood and Blenheim Fire Companies. All units were available by noon.
